Cutting Edge is proud to help the San Francisco Giants tell the story of The Legacy Project, a bold initiative to preserve tens of thousands of hours of video and film covering the team’s 60 years in the Bay Area.
The rich history of the San Francisco Giants is chronicled in thousands of hours of film, video, and audio recordings that were sitting in boxes in a storeroom. On the 60th anniversary of the team’s move to the San Francisco Bay Area, the Giants chose Cutting Edge to mobilize a major project to digitize the entire media collection, preserving it from almost certain ruin. Cutting Edge also designed and deployed a state-of-the-art digital media library based on file-based media production solutions from Avid and Spectra Logic. See the full story on our YouTube Channel.
